Everett E. Wilson D.O. (1919–2015), a WWII U.S. Marine Corps veteran and 1947 graduate of Kansas City College of Osteopathy, was an eye surgeon who practiced in Dayton, Ohio, USA for nearly 60 years. During the 1990's he was nearing retirement age and began to pay better attention to his own health needs and supplements that his patients were taking. They would often share with him positive side efeects of their nutritional supplements.
Listening to his patients and paying attention to the real results that were manifesting, Dr. Wilson developed a natural herbal remedy drink (Dr. Wilson's Alpha Formula) to treat his patients suffering from dry and wet macular degeneration. Dr. Wilson's original formula was marketed and sold as a liquid drink in the USA. Now, MAYAN offers that same formula in powder form not just in the USA, but internationally.
Beginning in 1994, Dr. Wilson reportedly observed positive effects of an herbal remedy and, over time and with clinical studies, developed his herbal formula. His stated goal was to help patients regain functional vision. His resulting Alpha Formula was marketed in the USA up until 2007 and helped more than five hundred patients of his improve their vision.
Much to our dismay, the original clinical data were destroyed after 2007 as Dr. Wilson's health declined and he required hospice care the last few years of his life. He lived to the age of 96 and passed in 2015. Dr. Wilson's grandson, Erich Wilson, PhD, assisted his grandfather in analyzing the clinical data of more than one hundred cases in 2002 and a performance pattern emerged.
